This summer Jennie will be taking a morning of games and listening activities aimed at year 3-6 students based on the Kodaly approach. Kodaly is a well-respected approach to music education that originated in Hungary, integrating folk songs and group activities to build and improve a solid foundation in music, understanding pulse and rhythm, pitch and intervals, and an enthusiasm for music. This class will be great for students who are preparing to start learning an instrument, or who already play an instrument.
This promises to be a fun and high energy multi-media class session, where students will learn lots of new songs, musical concepts and notation. with lots of activities to enhance motor and listening skills!
