Symphonic Journey
The MSO presents a weekend workshop for students and community players to gain experience playing in a full symphony orchestra alongside experienced mentors.
The weekend rounds off with an informal performance to present the works that have been rehearsed over the two days.
This year the workshop focuses on:
Dvorak Symphony No. 8 , first movement.
Shostakovitch famous Waltz No.2
and a new work composed by Erin Fagan for the event:

East Meets West III
The Auckland Metropolitan Orchestra (formerly New Classics Sinfonia), conducted by Robert Liu presents a variety of Eastern and Western traditional and classic music, featuring guest artists, Matteo, Marcello and Lilia Napoli, Nathan Imboden, Aro, The Stonefields Choir and more.
A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Starship to aid their remarkable work.

Join the Auckland Philharmonia as they perform side by side with the students of Sistema Aotearoa.
The two have nurtured a collaborative partnership for over 10 years, and they will showcase a diverse selection of music that ranges from well-known classical composers, through to modern pop favourites.
The free concert at the Due Drop Events Centre, is where friends, whānau and the wider community can enjoy and celebrate the music, vibrancy and talent on show.
